The NDA is a joint academy for the Indian Armed Forces and the admissions are made through a written exam conducted by UPSC. This is followed by extensive interviews. This exam is mandatory in order to pursue training in respective fields.

NDA Recruitment
Recruitment of candidates to Army, Navy and Air force wings of the National Defence Academy (NDA), is through National Defence Academy Entrance Exam which happens twice a year.
What After NDA?
After completing their three/four years training in Khadakwasla pune, they will obtain a degree from JNTU in B.Sc/ B.Sc computer science/ B.A. post which trade training is given and their career starts in Indian army lieutenant and in navy as Sub Lieutenant and those who selected air force start their career flying officer. Cadets continue in the post as captain, major, carnal or brigade and can grow to the stage of Chief of army staff, admiral and air chief marshal.

The entrance for National Defense Academy comprises of a Written Exam followed by and Intelligence and Personality Test.

NDA Eligibility
The age limit for the NDA exam is 18 years, which is as per the UPSC guidelines. Minimum education qualification required is 10+2 or equivalent for Army and 10+2 with Physics and Math for Navy and Air Force from a recognized education board. The candidate should be the citizen of India and only unmarried males can apply for this exam.
