ICAI is the body which regulates the course of CMA. Previously the body was known as ICWAI. CMA Certification is widely accepted in India as well as abroad. CEP which stands for Continuing Education Programme has been made compulsory by the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants India. This is structured for all the members to ensure that they are constantly updated over knowledge and ethics. The registration procedures for ICAI are open throughout the year. Broadly talking about the CMA Exam, it is conducted to test the knowledge of students over their comprehensive understanding of topics like, maintenance of balance between expenditure & means, cost and financial management and communication skills.

CMA Foundation
Going by the name; it is the underpinning that is the first entry level for qualifying as a CMA. Just like the CS exam, here also, those students who have graduated can directly apply to the second level skipping this level.
Outlook of the CMA Foundation level paper
The CMA Foundation level consists of all multiple choice questions only. There will be hundred questions in total of one mark each in one particular session. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers and answering all questions will be mandatory. Combining both the sessions, this exam attributes to be of two hundred marks in total. The exam will be taking place in two sessions, both on the same day in different time slots. In the morning session, Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be held while in the afternoon slot, Paper 3 and Paper 4 will be taken place with a gap of one hour between both the sessions.
